KOMATSU's view of this hotel
About 30 minutes by car, 10.1 km, from Kyoto Station (Google Maps, approximate). The hotel sits away from the city center at the foot of the mountains, so changing trains and buses with a suitcase is hard work. Leave your luggage with KOMATSU, spend your arrival day sightseeing in central Kyoto hands-free, and head to the hotel in the evening.
2. Getting there from Kyoto Station and other areas
Nearest public transport: the Kitakinohata-cho bus stop (from the hotel's access map). The nearest train station, Kitano-Hakubaicho, is about 2.6 km away
Kinkaku-ji: within walking distance
For getting around the city, there is a Kyoto City subway and bus one-day pass. Check the latest official information for prices and where to buy it.
3. How to send your luggage with KOMATSU
KOMATSU is a luggage delivery and storage service inside Kyoto City. Requests are accepted from 6:00 to 23:00, seven days a week.
Send a request through the booking form or LINE. The booking form lets you pick a time between 7:00 and 18:00, every 15 minutes.
Our staff reply to confirm. Your booking is confirmed only at this point. Sending the form alone does not confirm it.
Hand over your luggage at Kyoto Station. If you arrive by train (Haruka, JR or Shinkansen), meet in front of Kyoto Theatre at the Central Exit on the north side. Do not use the Hachijo Exit on the south side. If you arrive by airport limousine bus, meet in front of Hoshino Coffee. Before you arrive, send us your train time, your estimated arrival time and a photo of your luggage.
By the time you reach the hotel, your luggage is there.
Rates: same-day delivery is 900 yen per bag (the 5th bag is free, from the 9th bag it is 700 yen per bag, and the 10th bag is free). Next-day delivery is 1,200 yen per bag and delivery two days later is 1,500 yen per bag (one bag free for every five). No advance payment is required. Payments made online cannot be refunded. You can choose a delivery time up to 18:00 on the same day.
When we deliver to your accommodation, you send a screenshot of your booking confirmation (guest name and booking number) later.

No trip to the hotel just to drop your bags. You get your whole arrival day for sightseeing.
Arrive at Kyoto Station in the morning. Hand your luggage to KOMATSU in front of Kyoto Theatre at the Central Exit (north side).
Walk to teamLab Biovortex Kyoto without your bags. It is about 12 minutes on foot from Kyoto Theatre (Google Maps, approximate).
Enter with a timed ticket. teamLab says the average visit is more than 2 hours 30 minutes.
Spend the afternoon sightseeing. We deliver your luggage to the hotel. The delivery time is arranged when we confirm your booking.
In the evening, take a taxi or similar from Kyoto Station or the city center to the hotel. You can enter your room from the hotel's check-in time (15:00).
teamLab's official guide says luggage 50 cm or longer cannot be taken inside. A large suitcase can be left with KOMATSU first. Opening hours are 9:00 to 21:00 (last entry 19:30; these can change). The official site says tickets cannot be canceled after purchase. Please check teamLab's latest information on umbrellas, luggage storage and closing days.

7. Please note
KOMATSU's pickup, storage and delivery have no compensation or insurance.
Do not put these in your luggage: valuables, cash (other than the delivery fee), ID such as your passport, smartphones, chargers, power banks, medicine, and anything worth more than 50,000 yen. Carry them yourself.
Items we cannot handle: sharp items without a protective case, dangerous liquids or substances, animals and plants.
How the hotel receives or holds luggage follows the hotel's own rules. They are separate from KOMATSU's conditions.
